Due to the ban on air travel, Thacker Mountain's scheduled author, Aleksandar Hemon, was unable to come. At the last minute, local author, Barry Hannah, agreed to come on the air and speak to the live audience.

Barry Hannah is the author of numerous novels and collections of short stories including Airships, Bats Out of Hell, Geronimo Rex, Ray, The Tennis Handsom, and most recently, Yonder Stands Your Orphan.
