De’Shawn Charles Winslow is the author of In West Mills, a Center for Fiction First Novel Prize winner; winner of an American Book Award, a Willie Morris Award for Southern Fiction, and a finalist for the Los Angeles Times Book Award.

Winslow was born and raised in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, and graduated from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop.

Rod Smoth

Rod Smoth is Mississippi singer and guitarist Reed Smith. His self-titled debut was recorded in Jackson, MS with producer Cole Furlow (Low Variety, Dead Gaze).

Combining the “eerie quiet of folk music with the darkness of stoner rock” Smith says, “Rod Smoth was born.”

Amara Nicole

Amara Nicole is a singer-songwriter and blogger from Jackson, MS. Her latest release is the single, Imitation of Love.

Other releases include the singles, Eyes Wide Open, Stand and In The Shallow.

For her Thacker appearance, Amara will be backed by our house band, the Yalobushwhackers.
