Gin Phillips is the author of six novels, ranging from historical fiction to literary thriller to middle grade. Her work has been sold in 29 countries.
Gin’s debut novel was, The Well and the Mine. Her novel, Fierce Kingdom, was named one of the best books of 2017 by The New York Times, Publishers Weekly, NPR and Kirkus Reviews.
Her novels have been named as selections for Indie Next, Book of the Month, and the Junior Library Guild.
She lives with her family in Birmingham, AL.
The Delta String Band is an acoustic band from Greenville, Mississippi, playing music “the old school way.”
The group consists of: Charles Sullivan, guitar and vocals; David Morgan, mandolin and vocals; and Cody Ruth, double bass, viol and vocals. They also feature fiddler Amanda Mayo-Saalwaechter.
Singles include, Keep My Skillet Good and Greasy, Wolves A Howlin, Who Broke the Lock.
Prayer Bailey is a vocalist, songwriter/instrumentalist from Horn Lake, MS. She has recently made appearances at blues festivals across the region, including Chicago and the Women in Blues shows in Clarksdale, MS.
Prayer has wowed our Thacker audiences with her smooth soulful voice and funkified take on such gritty classics as “Houng Dog” and Wang Dang Doodle.”
